Tsunami hazard in the North-Eastern Atlantic and Mediterranean region

A challenge for Science and Civil protection
Within the framework of the UNESCO Inter-governmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC), North-Eastern Atlantic and Mediterranean (NEAMTWS) group, the IPSC is organising an international workshop to discuss tsunami hazards in Europe and to address the challenge of developing effective end-to-end tsunami warning systems at the regional, national and local level: the last mile. The workshop brings together European science and civil protection communities as well as experts from tsunami warning centres in the Pacific, Indian Ocean and Caribbean regions.
