Summer School on GNSS core technologies

July 2-4, 2012
JRC, Ispra (Italy)

Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) have become essential elements of modern infrastructure. Aviation, road and rail transportation, and precision agriculture depend on positioning from GNSS signals whereas power grids, financial and telecom networks depend on precise GNSS timing.

This three-day course covered core technologies in GNSS with special emphasis on software receivers that are considered basic tools for R & D in GNSS security. The course introduced GNSS receiver design methodology, examined various security threats in GNSS and showed the deployment of software receivers for interference detection.
